Access Log Manager
What's the purpose of the Access Log Manager? What sort of information will it give you?
An access log is a complete list of all the files which were accessed by the visitors of a given Internet site. Any file which was requested for whatever reason shall be listed, so if you have only one webpage with three embedded pictures, one video and one embedded text file, for example, the access log shall contain a total of 6 entries - one for any of the 6 files which were accessed when the site visitor opened the webpage. A log normally offers the file name and path, the date, in addition to the visitor’s OS, web browser and IP address. Oftentimes you could also find the referrer sites that sent the visitors to your site. The info that an access log file includes is in human-readable plain text format. It can be processed by special software on a PC and used to prepare reports on the efficiency of a website, aside from the web statistics that your hosting server may have generated.
Access Log Manager in Cloud Hosting
When you obtain a cloud hosting from us, you'll be able to choose if access logs should be generated and for which domains or subdomains in your account this must be done. You can activate this feature from the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia CP, included with all shared accounts. Every single domain you host or subdomain you set up will be listed there and you see an On/Off option next to each and every one of them, so you can effortlessly activate or disable the generation of access logs separately for each website that you have. You may save a log to your personal computer by clicking on the Download link that you shall see in the exact same section of the Control Panel. The link will be available even if you disable the log generation, so you'll still have access to the data compiled by our system.
